Colonel JASON C. TIGER

Col Jason C. Tiger is the Deputy Commander, 108th Wing,
New Jersey Air National Guard, Joint Base McGuire-Dix- Lakehurst, NJ. The 108th Wing’s federal 
mission is to provide rapid global airpower and cyberspace operations to support Air Mobility, Air 
Force Special Operations and Air Combat Commands. Furthermore, the Wing deploys expeditionary 
forces in support of worldwide combat, contingency, and humanitarian efforts. The Wing’s state 
mission is to support the Governor of New Jersey in disaster or domestic emergency response 
situations. In addition to operating and maintaining KC-46 aircraft as a classically associated 
unit, the Wing operates C-32B aircraft and has cyberspace operations and intelligence missions. The 
108th Wing, with more than 1,200 members, is an Air National Guard unit and a reserve component of 
the Air Force’s Air Mobility Command.


Colonel Tiger joined in the New Jersey Air National Guard in 1993. He served as a drill status 
enlisted guardsman for ten years. He earned his commission from the Academy of Military Science in 
2003. After, commissioning, he attended Undergraduate Pilot Training at Laughlin AFB, TX. There he 
flew the T-37 and T-1 aircraft. His follow-on flying assignment was in the KC-135E and eventually 
the KC-135R for the 141st Air Refueling Squadron.  After tours as the 108th Wing
Executive Officer, Wing Scheduler, Squadron Assistant Director of Operations and Squadron Director 
of Operations for the 141st Air Refueling Squadron, in 2015 he served in the 150th Special 
Operations Squadron. There he flew the C-32B aircraft. In 2019 he became the 108th Wing Chief of 
Plans and Programs. In 2020, he was selected as the 141st Air Refueling Squadron Commander. In his 
current role, he is the 108th Operations Group Commander. Colonel Tiger has been a full-time 
federal technician since 2006. He has served in multiple crew, staff, and leadership positions in 
support of IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, UNIFED PROTECTOR, INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINEL 
and PACOM deployments.
