BENEFITS OVERVIEW
New Jersey Free Tuition Program
Up to 16 college credits tuition free at any New Jersey State public institution of higher learning. Can be used for undergraduate or graduate studies.
Montgomery G.I. Bill
Can be used for any Veterans Administration (VA) approved college or training program. You can earn $345.00 a month if attending college on a full time basis (12 or more credits). Part time students are also eligible to receive a lesser monthly payment. You must enlist for a six-year term.
Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker
An additional $350.00 per month to be used in conjunction with the Montgomery G.I. Bill. You must enlist for 6 years in a qualifying career field.
Other Education Programs
In addition to the New Jersey Free Tuition Program, you are also entitled to free College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests, Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), College Accredited Training, Defense Activity for Non-traditional Education Support (DANTES), and Extension Course Institute (ECI).
Cash Bonus
Some career fields are eligible for a cash bonus of, up to $20,000. You must enlist 6 years in a qualifying career field.
Training
The New Jersey Air National Guard offers many career fields with in-depth, comprehensive instruction and hands-on experience using some of the most modern, high-tech equipment available.
Pay
Earn a good part time salary with regular increases. Most new airmen earn between $183 - $234 per weekend to start.
Base Exchange
Unlimited Tax Free shopping privileges in base department store.
Commissary
Unlimited base grocery store privileges, save an average of twenty percent on food items.
Recreation
Free New Jersey State park passes and hunting and fishing licenses. Use of base recreation facilities such as gymnasiums, golf course, and bowling alleys.
DIRECTIONS TO THE RECRUITING OFFICE
Form the North:
Via..NJ turnpike: take the NJ turnpike to exit 7, merge on to 206 south, take the 1st jug handle on to route 68. Stay on 68 unit you reach mid point and cross over to defense access road following the signs to McGuire AFB
Via: 95 / 295: take 95 south to 295, take exit 52 to 543 East towards Columbus, cross over route 68 and turn on to defense access road, follow the signs to McGuire.
From the South:
Via. NJ turnpike: take exit 7, merge on to 206 south, take the 1st jug handle on to route 68. Stay on 68 until you reach mid point and cross over to Defense Access Road, follow the signs to McGuire AFB
Via. 295: Take exit 47 to 541south, then take 537 east to Defense Access Road, you will cross over route 68.
From the East:
If your are coming from NE take 195 to 537 this is the six flags exit, follow 537 to the Defense Access road
From the West:
Philadelphia area take 30 to 38 east, follow 38 east to Pemberton boro, turn left (North) until you see the Ft. Dix gate, turn left on to route 68 then first light, Sailor Pond Road turn right this will take you to the McGuire Main gate, located on your right.
Remember: In order to get a pass on to McGuire AFB you will need the following documents: Valid Driver License, Current proof of Insurance, Current Vehicle registration.
