JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. --
The FFCRA provides paid sick leave under certain conditions protected by temporary Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rules beginning April 1, 2020 and ending December 31, 2020.

Due to the short suspense given agencies on the date the Act was signed, the Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service, the agency responsible for publishing leave policy, has yet to publish policy. Your Human Resource Office would like to inform you that our agency is covered under Title II FMLA rules and when DCPAS publishes leave policy we will provide more guidance on what leave you may use retroactive to April 1, 2020.

Department of Labor has allowed all employers, including our agency,  a temporary grace period of hold an agency at fault during the temporary FMLA rules until April 17.  This grace period does not change our responsibilities to provide the benefits required by FFCRA beginning April 1, 2020.

You may read more at one of the below links. Additionally, remember that Title I rules are not applicable to this agency.
