JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. -- The 108th Civil Engineering Squadron announces its operations flight officer position as a commissioning opportunity for current 108th members.
The operations flight officer will be a tenured, experienced, and well broadened individual with good working technical and engineering knowledge of Air Force installation operations and maintenance activities.
The operations flight officer is a member of the commander’s staff and performs duties at the operational competence and strategic vision levels of leadership. The candidate will develop and implement civil engineer (CE) force employment, and provide staff supervision and technical advice. Additionally, they will perform and manage CE functions and activities to provide facilities and infrastructure supporting the United States and allies. Activities include programming, budgeting, project management, drafting, surveying, planning, feasibility studies, construction management, utilities operations, energy and environmental programs, land management, real property accounting, fire protection, explosive ordnance disposal (EOD), disaster preparedness (DP) programs, family housing and dorm management, and mobilization programs at base level. The officer serves on response teams and related installation support services. as well as advises commanders and government officials on effective use of CE resources.
