E-model ceremony Aug. 7, 2009 at McGuire Air Force Base, NJ.
The 108th ARW said good-bye to the KC-135E Aug.7, 2009. The E model was transferred to the Air Guard in 1975 and came to the 108th in 1984. The E model airplane has flown combat missions from Vietnam to Iraq during a 52-year military career. It's final resting place will be at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, where it will be on display in the Air Mobility Command Museum.
