Airmen train in Aircrew Contamination Control Area
Airman 1st Class Nikole Bricker, Aircrew Flight Equipment, 108th Wing, New Jersey Air National Guard, decontaminates Airman 1st Class Justin Addison’s aircrew eye and respiratory protection system with simulated M295 mitts during aircrew contamination control area training at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., Sept. 19, 2015. The ACCA decontamination process is a series of stations with signs showing detailed instructions on how to decontaminate aircrew members. Aircrew Flight Equipment Airmen instruct the Wing’s KC-135R Stratotanker crew members on the proper use of the aircrew eye and respiratory protection system – part of the aircrew chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear equipment and are also responsible for setting up the aircrew contamination control area and decontaminating aircrew members.
