    For the fourth time in six years, the 108th Wing Women’s Softball Team took first prize in the Air Guard’s National Women’s Softball Championship held at the Summit Softball Complex near Chattanooga, Tenn., from Aug. 15-17.
  • 108 CES aides construction of Mississippi camping facility

    The 108th Civil Engineering Squadron traveled to a construction site in Crystal Springs, Miss., from July 31-August 15, 2019, to assist with the construction of a camping facility, and gain vital hands-on training. The squadron partnered with the Mississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation to help build Camp Kamassa, a year-round camping facility for children and adults with serious illnesses, disabilities or other challenges. Guard and reserve units from multiple branches have been rotating in and out for months prior to the 108th’s arrival.

  • Denmark trains 108th Wing Airman in leadership course through NATO exchange program

    Air National Guardsman, Tech. Sgt. Sarah N. Gibson, a quality assurance inspector from the 108th Maintenance Group, here, participated in a leadership course in Denmark through the Military Reserve Exchange Program from June 24 to July 8, 2019. The primary purpose of MREP is to provide National Guard and Reserve participants training similar to wartime assignments, while enhancing their ability to work and communicate with NATO alliance partners.

  • Norway welcomes Air National Guard for Arctic Challenge

    U.S. Air National Guard Airmen are converging on Ørland Air Base, Brekstad, Norway, to participate in Arctic Challenge Exercise 2019 (ACE 19). Beginning May 22 and continuing through June 4, ACE takes place every other year and seeks to train multinational forces in air operations over Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
